"Magnificent Isn't It? And Yet It Is Really Just Hocus Pocus In Your Head"

This is my favorite of the page projects.  This is a bad picture of it however.  The camera changed the colors a little bit.  The background is a dark magenta color done with paint.  The part in the middle is done with a blue pen.  I ripped a hole in the middle and put blue paint on the paper behind the page. The words are "magnificent isnt is? and yet it is really all hocus pocus in your head".  This art is kind of a Kurt Vonnegut reference.  The color of the background is in reference to the magenta color that you see when you die in Slaughter House V. The blue pen references the vortex in God Bless You Dr Kevorkian

"A Sort Of Mummy"

This is a the third page I made.  I boxed the words ''a sort of mummy". This is done with a blue ink pen. I like the scratchy texture of the background.

"Lay Back"

This is another page painting.  The words i covered with tape for this painting are "lay back". I like the color contrast

"Relieved With The Sound Of Surf"

This painting is on the page of a book. I put tape over some of the words before painting to have the page say "relieved with the sound of surf" when i took of the tape.  I painted the guitar with this phrase to represent surf music.  The background is my favorite part of this painting.  I first painted the dark blue. Then I painted the light blue lines and used water to make a blurry texture.  I did this to try to recreate the reverby sound of surf music.

Skateboard

I drew a skateboard. It wasn't to my liking. I threw it out and never photographed it. It was a light, blue-green color drawn with color pencil. i like the texture that colored pencils create more than that of the marker. It had brown, thorn-like things coming from the center that were also done with colored pencil. WOO!!!

Vincent Price

This is a drawing of Vincent Price. I liked the texture of the background. To make it i rubbed my finger on the darker shades of the drawing and then rubbed my finger on the background.  I used some darker shades with this than with the portrait of my dad.

Portrait of My Dad

This is a portait of my dad. Its done with pencil. It should probably have a darker value because it is drawn pretty lightly.  The texture of the sunglasses is unrealistic but i think it looks good.  I think it looks like him!
